The Anita Stroud Youth Development Center (ASYDC) believes that every child can be somebody. We believe each child is here for a specific purpose and each child has been uniquely gifted to fulfill that purpose. Through the mission of the ASYDC our children discover more about themselves, our local community, our global community, and the many possibilities available to them to become leaders of the future. Our programs have high standards and we have high expectations for each student who participates in the program. We expect each child to be prepared to compete in a global, multi-cultural, multi-lingual, technological and information rich world. We expect them to be able to communicate clearly across cultures and succeed in using their education, skill and God-given gifts to build a better world. Our students are the first generation of the 21st century. Not only are there more possibilities and opportunities than ever before for our children, but there are also different and more complex challenges than prior generations have encountered. The ASYDC is committed to being an effective development agent for each child and we believe every child is destined for leadership in their own right. Our responsibility is to develop the skills, and provide the enrichment experiences for them during their early years so that they might reach their full potential.
